ALAIN REYNAUD La Cascade, Pôle National Cirque
Les Nouveaux Nez & Cie
The company
Roseline Guinet, Nicolas Bernard, Roger Bories, and Alain Reynaud, the students, and André Riot-Sarcey, their clown art teacher, met in 1986 at the National Center of Circus Arts in Châlons en Champagne, France (2nd promotion). After becoming the first clowns certified with a state diploma in December 1990, they create their own compagnie as early as January 1991 in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, in the Ardèche county, and settled in 1992 in the former Reynaud carpentry in the district of Tourne. While they are touring in France and abroad, anxious to get established and take part in the local life of Bourg-Saint-Andéol, they imagined and staged the memorable Cabarets Champêtres in collaboration with the Bourg Initiatives Association, which will enchant the summer evenings of the spectators of Tourne from 1992 to 2008. Les Nouveaux Nez have created all their performances from 1992 to 2008 at the Carpentry. In addition, they have made it a place of real artistic encounters, trainings and creations, around the clown art, which will pre-figure La Cascade, the National Circus Pole which opened its doors in 2008. Since 2008, the compagnie has been in permanent residence at La Cascade, directed by Alain Reynaud. The compagnie is now composed of Roseline Guinet, Raquel Esteve Mora, Nicolas Bernard, Alain Reynaud, and André Riot-Sarcey.
